Congratulations to Nomvuyo Duda, Ikamva Labantu’s HR Practitioner, on completing her Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Development. The Ikamva Labantu family is very proud of you! Well done for overcoming any challenges that might have come your way.
Here is what Nomvuyo had to share after her graduation ceremony:
“I’m very proud of myself and I’d like to encourage people who want to go back to school to revisit that dream. Delayed dreams are not denied dreams. I completed my matric at 16 in 1999 and only went back to school in 2012 at the age of 29. I graduated with a Diploma at 31.
When you are my age, it’s no longer about the dream only, you have to consider the skills you have acquired over the years. You will find that there’s a lot of ‘pull-her-down syndrome’ in the society, so make sure you know what you want and stick to your dreams. Make your dreams a reality. Most importantly when you develop yourself do it in a way that will benefit you.
Never stop dreaming.”
