How can I raise funds for Ikamva Labantu?

Thanks for your support! There are many ways to help us raise funds. For example:

  • Give a gift in lieu
  • Gift a gift in memory
  • Host a fundraising event
  • Ask your party guests to make a donation instead of bringing gifts
  • Take part in a sporting event for Ikamva Labantu and ask your friends to sponsor you
  • Encourage your office to donate (goods or money)

Can I / my organisations apply for funding?

Ikamva Labantu is not a grant making organisation. Our funding is received from grant makers and donors and cannot be redistributed outside of its original intent.

Do you have services in other provinces?

We only work in the Western Cape.

I live in the US/UK, how can I get involved?

We value our friends all over the world. We have two dedicated Friends of Ikamva Labantu (FOIL) offices in the UK and US. You can get in touch with your respective office for information on how to get involved.

Can I host a fundraiser in the UK/US?

Yes! We value support from all over the world. We have two dedicated Friends of Ikamva Labantu (FOIL) offices in the UK and US. Get in touch with your respective office for information on how to host a fundraising event.

What kind of items can I donate?

Ikamva Labantu is grateful for donations that could aid our work or relieve our current budgets. We are always in need of educational toys, non-perishable food, sporting equipment, toiletries, underwear and much more. Kindly contact our fundraising team for an updated list of requirements.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. Ikamva Labantu is a registered Public Benefit Organisation and is certified for tax exemption. We are able to issue tax certificates for donations in accordance with SARS requirements and conditions. Visit www.sars.gov.za for more information.
